Boys & Girls Club will host a movie night at Pacawa Lake Park

Outdoor movie night for the whole family is coming to Pacawa Lake Park.
Sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of Portage Co., a free screening of “Space Jam 2: A New Legacy” will be offered at the newly renovated park on Thursday, August 18, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Participants must bring their own blankets and seats.
Popcorn and other giveaways will be available, along with cotton candy, glow sticks and cash raffles. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the Boys & Girls Club Plover Center front desk, 2401 Cedar Dr., or online at https://www.bgclubpc.org/Movieatlakepacawa. Tickets are $1 for five, $10 for 3, or $20 for eight.
The raffle winners will be drawn during a short intermission halfway through the film, and ticket holders need not be present to win, according to a press release from the BGC.
Funds raised will benefit the Boys & Girls Club at Portage County-Plover Center.
The Boys & Girls Club offers programs such as Healthy Habits, which teaches children how to prepare delicious meals that are also nutritious, Homework Help, a program designed to support young people throughout their studies, and Triple Play, a similar program. to physical education that keeps kids active and sparks interest in team and recreational sports.
