Catalyst Black Beginners Guide – Tips, Tricks & Tricks to Get Started

Catalyst Black has just launched on the App Store and Google Play Store. It’s a tight, fast-paced team-based shooter with more than a sprinkle of juicy MOBA DNA. It’s a lot of fun, but when you start it can feel pretty overwhelming.

That’s why we decided it was a good idea to write this guide for players who are new to the game. Which, let’s be honest, is going to be most of you. These strategies are designed to give you a head start and to make sure you know what you’re actually supposed to do.

Even if you’re pretty sorted with the basic ideas of the game, we think there’s going to be something here that will take your skills to the next level. So let’s get to it – here are the best Catalyst Black beginner tips, tricks, and cheats.

Stay with your team

It’s important not to become a lone wolf, at least for most. Stick with your team and use your abilities to support and strengthen each other. You have a much higher chance of defeating enemies if you work together. Feel free to run away when you become Primal, but don’t go overboard – there are items that will buff players if they’re near a Primal ally.

Don’t forget to dodge

It’s probably one of the easiest things to forget, but dodging can get you out of really sticky situations. If you’re getting ganked, if you’re about to die – basically anytime you need to make a quick getaway – dodging can come in very handy. Remember it’s there and don’t forget to use it.

Collect your rewards

There are always rewards waiting for you after a scrap, whether in the form of completed quests, leveling bonuses, or just random stuff the game throws at you. Be sure to grab them all – the more you have, the more power you can get. The more powerful you are, the better you will do.

Keep updating

You should always upgrade your gear and skills. Also check the new weapons and kit you unlock to see if any of them will help you more than what you already have equipped. Along with upgrading, it’s important to know what your gear actually does and how you can best use it.

Choose a role

As you get deeper into the game, you’ll start to notice various synergies between your weapons, gear, and choice of Primal. You’ll want to adapt them to your style of play. Do you want to support? Long range sniper? Do you get close to your enemies? Pick a role and make sure everything you add complements that role.
