Dead: The Game Update Provides Content For 2013 Film And Balance Changes

Boss and Saber Interactive recently teased that Evil Dead: The Game was able to get content from the Evil Dead reboot released in 2013, and this week that content officially arrived in the game in its latest update. The two new survivors, Mia and David, have crossed over from the Evil Dead into the game, as has the new demon called the “Plaguebringer”. This update appears to feature the many bug fixes and balance changes incurred.

Both Mia and David are considered DLC characters. Therefore, if you want them (and Mia’s alternate red dress outfit), you must purchase this bundle for $9.99 if you don’t have the game‘s season pass. The Plaguebringer is not included in this pack, but it is free for all players. In the last update, additional weapons as well as a multiplayer mission were added for free, and all of these remain listed below, along with the detailed details in the lengthy patch notes.

  • New Survivors: Mia and David from Evil Dead 2013 – 2013 Revue of the Storm.

General

  • Players cannot reproduce imulettes and “Shemps-Cola” in place of masked “Shemps” players.
  • Players cannot double items once and the other by pressing “Drop” and “Drop all” to create the full complete cycle.
  • Players cannot drop items when attacked by Mini-Ashes, Hand-Ashes, and while Finisher animations are following.
  • Demon buffs are true to each unit, but they haven’t been properly applied.
  • The demon receives the correct damage on its evil energy while the car has a car.
  • After possession, you don’t need to drop the weapon and open the map.
  • Now cars take damage/second in Dark Ones and Necronomicon phases.
  • The Necronomicon can no longer be attacked before its timer starts.
  • You can’t keep your mind alive.
  • The Survivor cannot attack while Bleeding.
  • Since the Demon did not have the active skill, the Survivor’s cooldown can no longer be stuck at 0, due to a reduced Survivor ability.
  • The Demi-Eligos clone re-suffrags after spawning.
  • Fixed no-damage attacks for foxoid units from Warlord and Puppeteer (now their abilities deal foxoid damage) to Necronomicon (now their abilities do foxoid damage)
  • Fixed video footage after player kills Evil Ash in Mission 5.
  • These weapons of aversion do not disappear from the player’s hands.
  • Caravans are not frozen in an area near Dead End of Xbox One and PS4 because it is far from Dead End.
  • Objectives in caravans without pickup prompts.
  • Players are unable to walk in the air until their jump animation is interrupted by a creepy demon portal trap.
  • The reticle of ranged weapons is not visible after they die during the Necronomicon phase.
  • At second level, Hunter’s “Light Therapy” skill can no longer be unlocked without the ability to spend skill points at second level.
  • The Dark Ones take on the weight of the film.
  • Survivors are no longer allowed to revive teammates if they start doing so while running.
  • Fixed the cost of portals not being reduced during the Necronomicon-Steal phase.
  • Fixed the item bug for Clara’s Pond.
  • There are a few stability fixes to achieve more stability.
  • Various fixes for navigation and environment locations where players get stuck.
