Due to bad weather last weekend, Family Bingo and Movie Night Under the Stars has been scheduled for this Saturday (March 19). Bingo will be played at 6 p.m., followed by the movie under the stars at 7 p.m. It all happens on the lawn at 625 Country Club Dr. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Disney’s Encanto will be screened. Mirabel Madrigal, a character from the film, will be a special guest. who will be there from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for the photos.

It’s never too late to learn or perfect a skill! Beginners guitar lessons will be held at the Poinciana Library tonight from 6-7:30 p.m. Bring your own guitar (preferably acoustic) for a beginners introduction to tuning, chords, strumming, fingering and reading tablature. This is a 4 week course to stretch your creative muscles and learn something new every week.
NovelTea Book Club will meet on Tuesday, March 22, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. This month’s selection is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. NovelTea Book Club features a lively book discussion while enjoying teas based on each month’s book selection.
On Thursday, March 24 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., adults are invited to participate in a CV writing workshop. Learn how to create a well-organized resume. Attendees will use Microsoft Word to create a new CV and will also get tips on how to update and polish your CV. Bring a USB key to save your work. If you don’t have a resume, provide enough information about your work history, education, and career goals to start developing one.
Celebrate 102 years of suffrage on Saturday, March 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. by attending Rosetta As A Suffragette. Create and wear your own rosette, an important symbol in women’s fight for equality. Supplies will be provided.
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) for Beginners takes place every Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Taught by a certified instructor in partnership with the Adult Literacy League, this course teaches how to become familiar with the English language.
We can’t forget the little ones! Story time is tonight at 7 p.m. This preschool to 5-year-old event invites children to come to the library in their pajamas, listen to stories and sing songs before it’s time to say goodnight.
The Osceola County School District READ bus is the Poinciana Library every Monday from 9:15 a.m. to noon. This renovated school bus with an interior that resembles a mini preschool classroom is equipped with resources to engage parents of preschoolers in activities aimed at developing early literacy skills.
